Only Worry about things that you can control:
Worries, doubts, and anxieties are a normal part of life. Constant worrying, negative thinking, and always expecting the worst can take a toll on your emotional and physical health. It can sap your emotional strength, leave you feeling restless and jumpy, cause insomnia, headaches, stomach problems, and muscle tension, and make it difficult to concentrate at work or school. You may take your negative feelings out on the people closest to you, self-medicate with alcohol or drugs, or try to distract yourself by zoning out in front of screens. Chronic worrying can also be a major symptom of Generalized Anxiety Disorder GAD , a common anxiety disorder that involves tension, nervousness, and a general feeling of unease that colors your whole life.

You can greatly improve your own personal happiness when you learn how to stop caring about things you can't control. One of the single most valuable, necessary, and helpful 'truths' to accept as we navigate this life, is that we truly have absolutely no ability to control anyone other than ourselves. Failing to accept this stark, basic, reality leads us to waste time, effort, energy and emotion in ways that are completely useless. Of course, that is somewhat easier said than done.
People who resist this truth fall into two categories— control freaks or worry warts. Control freaks believe if they can gain enough control over others, and the situations they find themselves in, they can somehow prevent bad things from happening. Worry warts, on the other hand, fret about everything from natural disasters to deadly diseases. But neither of these strategies can prevent a catastrophe. Instead, worry warts and control freaks put their time and energy into the wrong places.

There's a brutal truth in life that some people refuse to accept --you have no control over many of the things that happen in life. Some of the people who resist that truth become control freaks. They micromanage, refuse to delegate tasks, and try to force other people to change. They think if they can gain enough control over other people and the situations they find themselves in, they can prevent bad things from happening. Others know they can't prevent bad things from happening, but they worry about them anyway.
If they have complete control over a situation, they would never be worrying about it to begin with. It is a complete waste of energy which we can better use elsewhere. A simple example would be a time when my website went down two years ago. The only times I could get online was when the train stopped for gas and that stop had free public Wi-Fi which was how I discovered my site was down. Now, issues pertaining my website tend to bother me more than other issues as my site is my career, my livelihood, and my life all rolled into one. Every minute the site is offline, I lose revenue, visitors, and potential business and media opportunities, since no one can access my material. There is no internet access on board.
